Old Town Tour

Old Town has lots of town houses, trees, and many historic buildings and people. It has very historic things about it such as old town was there before the united states was even a country and how George Washington had a meeting house in old town that is still there.

On July 6, 2009 we went to the Alexandria public library it is located on the corner on Queen st. and N. Columbus st. It was quiet and peaceful because its not a busy street. All we heard was a dog barking and birds singing. When we looked around there was lots of town houses which are expensive because Old Town is a historic town.

Later that day we went to Christ Church which is located on Columbus Street. Christ Church was also there before the united states was a country. Back the old days the north took the south land which they ruined the Christ Church grave. They moved and took apart the grave stones and they tryed to fix it. Today, still dont know if the grave stones are with the right people.

We went to walking till we pasted the city hall, Alexandria fountain and the Visitors center. There was very amazing, cool looking , and interesting fun facts about Old Town Visitors center. I loved exporing Old Town today and we hope you come and see it so you can love it too.
